Anorexia nervosa is a serious illness leading to substantial morbidity and mortality. The Anorexia Nervosa Treatment of Outpatients (ANTOP) study is the largest randomised controlled trial (RCT) globally that uses psychotherapy in outpatients with anorexia nervosa.
